Day 1. Arrive In Budapest, Hungary.
Arrive in Budapest and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or begin exploring this beautiful city.
Stay: Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest or Sofitel Hotel.
CRUISE FROM BUDAPEST TO TRIER
Day 2. APT EXCLUSIVE! Budapest, State Opera House Performance. Embark Ship. Enjoy a sightseeing tour that includes such places as 500 year-old Matthias Church, St Stephen’s Basilica, the distinctive Fisherman’s Bastion,
the marvellous Royal Palace and historic Buda Castle. In the afternoon, exclusive to APT, see a private music performance over a glass of champagne at the Hungarian State Opera House, following board the ms Amacello. BD
Day 3. Bratislava.
Today your ship reaches the Slovakian capital of Bratislava where you’ll disembark for a guided walking tour. Take in
the attractions of the city, including the Old Town Hall, Mirbach Palace and the Gothic St Martin’s Cathedral. Following this, the evening is yours to spend at leisure. BLD
Day 4. Vienna Sightseeing, Freedom of Choice Touring.
On arrival in Vienna choose a city tour or visit Schönbrunn Palace. After dinner, explore the vibrant capital on your own, or come along for an optional Mozart and Strauss concert (own expense). BLD
Day 5. Dürnstein - Melk.
Cruise through the Wachau Valley and stop in Dürnstein. Enjoy a walking tour through cobblestone streets, then continue to Melk and tour the Benedictine Abbey, before re-boarding the ship for dinner. An evening wine tasting highlights your visit to the beautiful Wachau Valley. BLD
Day 6. Linz - Passau, Freedom of Choice Touring.
Join a day tour to Salzburg (lunch at own expense), or to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic (lunch at own expense) or cruise to Passau and take a tour of the city. BLD
Day 7. Regensburg.
Tour Regensburg, one of Germany’s best preserved medieval cities, seeing architectural highlights such as the Old Town Hall and the Porta Pretoria - gates to an ancient Roman fort built in 179 AD. Tonight enjoy a music performance on board. BLD
Day 8. Nuremberg, Freedom of Choice Touring.
This morning, enter the fascinating engineering feat of the Main-Danube Canal and relax during a leisurely cruise through the beautiful Altmühl Valley. In the afternoon, your ship arrives in the city of Nuremberg, where you’ll disembark for your choice of a World War ll tour or a medieval tour. Following the tour, enjoy time at leisure to relax or explore as you please. The ship is moored overnight in Nuremberg. BLD
Day 9. Nuremberg - Bamberg.
Today you are free to explore Nuremberg. BLD
Day 10. Bamberg.
Cruise the Main-Danube Canal and arrive at Bamberg. A walking tour highlights the charming houses and 18th century mansions of this medieval gem with its uniquely intact townscape. Tonight continue cruising along the Main-Danube Canal to Würzburg. BLD
Day 11. Würzburg.
Würzburg is surrounded by sloping hills covered with vineyards. Enjoy a tour of this town, taking in sights including the Residential Palace. Later, perhaps take an optional tour to Rothenburg (own expense). BLD
Day 12. Wertheim - Miltenberg.
Arrive in Wertheim and enjoy free time to browse the market square and the shops. Cruise to Miltenberg
and disembark for a guided walking tour along the narrow cobblestone streets. BLD
Day 13. Mainz - Rüdesheim - Koblenz.
Today, tour Mainz or Heidelberg. Then in Rüdesheim visit Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Museum. Then continue cruising to Koblenz. BLD
Day 14. Cochem - Zell.
Visit Reichsburg Castle and enjoy views of the Moselle River. Then continue past hillside vineyards to Zell, home of the famous ‘Zeller Schwarze Katz’ wine. BLD
Day 15. Bernkastel - Trier.
Explore Bernkastel on a tour. Located in the Moselle wine-producing
region, Bernkastel boasts over 500 years of documented wine history. Continue on to Trier, Germany’s oldest city, where a guided tour will
highlight the city’s ancient Roman past. BLD
Day 16. Trier, Disembark Ship - Paris.
Disembark in Trier and head to Luxembourg for a fascinating tour. After lunch continue to Paris. B
